What to expect from Covenant Chimney on the day of your appointment
1: That we will be on time.
2: That we will be in marked service vehicles.
3: That we will be professional and polite.
4: That we will take the full steps necessary in assuring a quality job with no mess.
5: That before we leave your home, you will be informed of the current shape of your chimney and if any problems were found that we leave you a written bid for chimney repairs needed.
NOTE:
Please be sure that you stop using your fireplace at least 24 hours before we arrive to sweep and inspect your fireplace. The chimney firebox and flue must be completely cooled down before we can sweep and or inspect it.
Top questions asked when inquiring of our service
1: Is it OK for my family and I to remain in the house during and after the chimney sweep?
Yes. Here at Covenant Chimney Service in Nashville, we take all the steps necessary in providing a clean work space. We also use high quality HEPA C filters in all of our dust collection systems to insure all harmful particulates are contained.
2: Do I need to move anything on or around my fireplace before you arrive?
Yes. Please make sure we have about a 6' or 8' work space in front of your fireplace and make sure to remove any breakables away from the mantle and the hearth area.
3: How long does it take to sweep and inspect my chimney?
By the time we arrive, it usually takes 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the home and other aspects of the job.
4: If I have any problems with my chimney do you leave me anything in writing?
Yes. We write a full report on all of our sweeps and inspections to leave with our Covenant Chimney Service customers.
5: Can I have a fire soon after service?
Absolutely. As soon as the chimney has been swept and an inspection is completed by Covenant Chimney Service, and it has been determined that there are no problems with your system, you can fire up your fireplace immediately.
Some of our customers have never seen a chimney being swept. All of us at Covenant Chimney Service invite you to watch us work if you like. You can benefit a great deal about chimney safety by watching us work. It does not bother us one bit.
